E-mail to JEALOUSY!

Disclaimer: Please don’t kill me for using the word “jealous and its various word forms” in this e-mail.

(I think a BCC would be better lest you will feel jealous that I sent this mail to someone else too.)

Dear Jealous Person,

It has taken me a long time to realise this.  But now I have. That you are jealous of me! All your attempts of putting me down, all your tactics to make me feel not as worthy of my achievements, all your methods to insult me, are not going to work anymore. (anyways those weren’t methods- you stole my stuff & called me names…someone pass me a ‘hansi ke aasu’ emoticon.)

Seriously?! Like, you are a cool dude I thought. I thought about this for a while. I took away the blame from you and put your jealousy down as any other human tendency. But I can’t blame anyone else but you for your actions, your behaviour. Hence, this e-mail!

Before I get to the bottom of things, I earnestly don’t know the reason behind what I just came to the conclusion of. Why?

Because I have one pimple lesser than you on my face?

Because I scored a mark more than you in some test?

Because I get more likes or comments on some picture on some social media site?

Because I was invited to a party and you weren’t?

No. I actually need to know. It’s not that I am not jealous of people. I’m not taking away your right to be jealous of me, or of anybody else. It’s fine. It’s human. I am jealous of way too many people and I envy several individuals for several reasons. But my jealousy doesn’t translate into behaviour similar to that of kindergarten kids.

You’ve been stealing my stuff and calling me names (no one gave the hansi ke aasu emoticon yet)…You have left no stone unturned to upset me. I’ve heard a person jealous of someone else considers the other one more fortunate or better.

Cool?! Then invent better ways and means to portray your jealousy. You know what you can do? Something that is better than your existing means of putting me down…

Do something and get that one pimple off your face (Rather, drop this! Boys don’t need to care that much about pimples)

Do something and get that one extra mark. (Or look at my third language score)

Have a look at how many people dare to like my atrocious selfies I put up! (Or take better ones…or just accept we boys are bad at taking selfies ;)

Find out that that party was one where kids were throwing tissues dipped in water and pizza pieces at each other!

And do you know what you can actually do to make me feel horribly upset?

Stop trying to make me feel upset.

That’ll make me jealous of you! (No kidding!) Won’t that be splendid? Sometimes to just be, and be happy is more rewarding than kindergarten means of insult.

Something terribly awesome would be to send this email to me one day (don’t take this too seriously coz I am not someone to resort to what you’ve been doing … nevertheless you can read my thoughts ;)

Now, that you have read everything up till here its time I tell you what my game-plan is going to be:

jealousy

Boo! Nothing! You know what? It feels great at this point of time. First I felt frustrated and irritated and bugged…why IS this happening to me? Now, I am enjoying! It’s great to have haters and people jealous of me.

When you come up to me and say nasty things, it’s bad. But to see your face or just imagine your expressions when you are burning with envy is soothing. If you print this email out and distribute it to the rest of the world, it is going to be an imperial experience for me.

Jeevan trupt ho jayega!

That is why you have to believe me. Trying to make me upset now is only going to make you sadder and me, happier (I don’t give a damn anymore, though).
Anyways, now the ball is in your court. (don’t tell me you play cricket & there are no courts in cricket ;)

Yours Enviously,

WhatDoYouCallAVictimOfJealousy

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Cheers! And wait up for another email to somebody else...till then, read this: An E-mail to Pimples

Have you been a victim of jealousy? Ever been jealous of anyone. You are with me on both sides and trust me, it's normal. Tell me in the comments below how you deal with both. And if you think this post can make a difference, share it!

I Just Want You To Know

             ~Each Fan's Desire

I want to reach you,
but I don't know how,
you give this chance to a few,
But then what should I do now?

I don't want you to do much,
and my desires,
are very few as such.

I just want you to know,
that I admire you more than I ever could.
I don't want anything more,
just you to know I love you more than I ever would.

You know you mean to me more than  I mean to you,
I too somewhere, do know you mean to me more than I mean to you;
But for once I want you to recognize my love for you,
And let me know,  what I mean to you. (pretend and lie, I won't mind but it'll make my day,
But do say something,  whatever you want to say.)

I may be just another fan for you,
I may be just another attention seeker for you;
But I just want you to know,
You mean the world to me... Or maybe more!

Am I the Almighty?

You call me The Almighty.

You call me Powerful.
You call me The Creator.
You call me the strongest force, but NO!
I'm not,
But yes I am!
I do not have the power to grant happiness or sadness,
nor any kind of success.
I can't make you powerful or strong,
But I decide what's RIGHT and what's WRONG!
I'm justice.
I'm balance.
I do not look for devotees performing rites for me.
I do not look for devotion,
because I love you all, and I am a part of you all.
My job ain't to destroy Evil and create Good. That's yours.
My job is to guide you.
Sometimes I feel like destroying all I have created,
but then I help destroy the Evil within you.
There's no good or bad,
happiness or sorrow,
only justice and injustice.
But I shan't allow the latter on my land,
and the former shall wear the crown.
Because I'm not the Almighty, I'm Justice.

LOVEDALE READER'S CLUB

The author of the book
LOVEDALE ~ Married to Life© Nozzer Pardiwala,
believes that... The world not only needs great writers but also great readers!

Taking that thought forward we introduced a dedicated segment on our youtube channel where readers of the book LOVEDALE~Married to Life©  share their views about the book, the author's unique style of writing and the changes the education system needs to look into.

We interviewed

STUDENT Miss Pushti Shah

TEACHER  Mrs. Dhun Patel

Homeschooling Parents Mr. & Mrs. Mathew Peedikayil

The responses were simply amazing. We introduce here a BLOG INTERVIEW for Lovedale Reader's Club
with another Homeschooling Parent Ranjeeta Kulshrestha.

~
Who is your favorite character?

My favorite character in the book is Samaira.
I feel so connected to her. She learns from nature and believes in angels. She gains her knowledge from nature and from real life experiences... her love for all beings amazes me.

The first impression of a book on a reader's mind is the cover. What is your interpretation of the Cover

The big arch with Lovedale written on it... left me awestruck!!! The color green and yellow envelops you in a warm feeling. Green related to life energy and yellow with faith and bliss. Cover shows that the house Lovedale is more or less like a school, it's mirror-image. It seems so... it is home plus school...homeschool.

Where there any wow moments in the book? Moments when you are filled with awe, surprise or nostalgia.

There are so many. The way author describes Lovedale... little things like dried leaves, the bushes. For me, the wow moment is that they don't have a clock in Lovedale.

Which character you could associate to?

Samaira, Of Course! I, too, love nature like she does. I too love treating people with the help of nature. In fact, I associate a little with everyone... like Shimayan I am fascinated with the subject of psychology. Like Seista, I too love and take care of my family and I want to write like Dadda.

Who do you think is the fifth one in the fivesome?

I think its the Reader. One who is reading the book

As a parent,  what did you relate to in the book?

As a parent, I relate so much with this book. How children struggle in the school and as a parent we are running a blind race. We want something like Lovedale but do not dare to. But I m happy I chose homeschooling... I relate with homeschooling journey very much .

What do you think other readers should expect out of the book?

Other readers would know about the option of homescooling and truth of schools...as some parents and children experience it...the disillusionment it creates and the freedom that homeschooling as an option might open up ...

Would you have liked to be a homeschooling child yourself?

Yes! I homeschool my kids and am glad that I opted for it.

Being a city dweller would you have liked to move to a place like Lovedale?

Surely, Yes! I very much would love to move to a place like Lovedale. I want to be amidst nature.

The author has said in one of his interviews that this book is his way of reaching to policy makers. In your opinion, Should homeschoolers make themselves known like this or shy away from being known?

I must say, the author has done the right thing. Why to shy away? We must tell the world that yes we can learn without school...Homeschooling is a way away from the system that is not upgrading itself with changing times...it is not against learning...gathering skills or information..only a different avenue of exploring and self learning.

What is one question you would want to ask to the current  education system?

I want to ask how can they tell that this child is intelligent  and the other is not...just on the basis of marks. I don't think so knowledge can be equated with marks.

The Man Who Sold Flowers...

I see him daily,

On the busy main street,

amidst cars, buses and rickshaws,
He sells flowers in the heat.

He goes to each one,
Each window he knocks,

each person he asks,
whether they'll pay him for what he'll remove from his box.

One day he came up to my car window,
and banged the glass hard,

it irritated me no end,
but I lowered the glass,
and let off my guard!

He shakes his box vigorously,
and shows me a rose,

I shake my head and ask for something else,
he takes out something that almost killed my nose!

I have no choice,
So I settle for the rose,

he quoted am awful cost,
I give a "lessen it or get-out" kind of pose!

We negotiate and settle for 20 bucks,
closing my window after paying,

I get ready to start my car,
I turn around and give him a final glance, whose figure is now retreating...

I wonder if he'll be like that
all his life,

isn't selling flowers on the road,
full of struggle and strife???

He looked happy when he came to me,

but will he be happy always?

Destiny has something for everyone,
so I needn't bother anyways.

He'll sell lights in the night,
mangoes in May,

And umbrellas in monsoon,
But shall he always be happy and gay?

He'd be managing to feed his family,
and also collect funds for the future,

but does he have anything else to do,
at least nothing that I can picture!

He may do what he may,
sell mangoes or melons or mowers,

for me he shall always be;
The man who sold flowers!!!

Dil Dhadakne Do: Let Your Heart Beat With The Mehras!

What does it take for a film to win hearts? A dedicated cast? A wonderful director? Humorous but relatable dialogues? A good story? An innovatively simple plot? Characters you can see yourself in?

Let me just say, "DDD is a must watch!" (Though I know many of you'll may have watched it by now but for those who are yet to watch it, here is something you may want to know about the film, before watching it)
Here you go:

Kamal and Neelam Mehra(Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah) have planned a fortnight long cruise  to plush and scenic destinations. For their 30th wedding anniversary.
All likely and existing business partners are invited.

Ayesha Mehra( Priyanka Chopra) is: A successful entrepreneur. On the contrary, her married life is not as happy as her parents think it is(or perhaps don't want to acknowledge). She is married to Manav Sangha (Rahul Bose) a male chauvinist- another businessman.

The film and her life witness some twists when her long lost love, Sunny(Farhan Akhtar) comes on board.

Farhan Akhtar is not given much screen time. Nevertheless, his role as Sunny and brilliantly humorous but sensitively written dialogues leave a lasting impact on everyone.

Kabeer Mehra(Ranveer Singh), the ideal heir of Ayka, his father's(Kamal) company that is on the verge of bankruptcy, finds his interest in aviation.

However, he needs to listen to everything his dad says on the behest of being the iklauta vaaris of Ayka and also not wanting his love, his plane to be sold.

He falls in love with someone else on the cruise, though:

Farah(Anushka Sharma) is a dancer, who ran away from her house to follow her passion. She and Kabeer fall in love...but then will it be as easy for them to be together in...???

Wait...I forgot to tell!! DDD is no cruise trip! DDD is no family vacation! DDD is a rollercoaster! A rollercoaster that makes you laugh, makes you smile, I can't guarantee it'll make you cry, but you'll relate!

This rollercoaster has twists and turns and situations that...actually are near impossible in real life!! These situations are hiilarious and over the top, but executed in the most subtle manner!

Try offering your sister's mother in law a sharper knife than the butter knife she is threatening to kill herself with! Try bribing your son to get married to someone you want him to...in return of a plane. Try jumping off a cruise for that matter!!!

The rollercoaster is driven and jam-packed by unbelievable, unforgettable performances. And some scenes and dialogues are such, a WOW cannot not come from your mouth.

This WOW isn't momentary! It keeps coming again and again, throughout the movie...when Mr.Mehra very obviously bribes Kabeer, "Tumhe vo plane chahiye ki nahi?"...

When in the medical care room, the otherwise calm Neelam smashes a file on her husband after knowing that what had happened was gas and no heart attack! Hold on...there's more...when she hears a knock on the door, she gets back into her calm demeanor; she never let's anyone see what she is going through...

It's not over yet! Minutes later when Kabeer says,"Iss family main sab upar upar se baat karte gain, asli baat to koi karta hi nahi!!!" She just says,"Kya baat karni hain tumhe???"
And then of course, moments later comes Kabeer's glance...a look there and then here and there and then at Ayesha...he is bewildered...Ranveer Singh pulls this off amazingly well!

The only downside to the movie is that it doesn't meet its expectations...not in terms of the story or plot or content, but in terms of the scenic AWE that it promised in the trailer...there aren't enough scenes on the cruise. Not as many as I expected.

Nevertheless, it is an entertainer and you for sure will connect to someone or the else of DDD's characters...

And I forgot to mention Mr.Pluto Mehra. You know who he is don't you? Nope? Find out! (Don't ask how!)

Here's a question for you guys, leave the answer in he comments below.

You see yourself as which person in the film Dil Dhadakne Do?

I see myself as Pluto Mehra...the silent observer...!

Ab mera Dil bhi Dhadakne Do and SHARE this with your friends!!!

Fret Less, Pray More!

Here we sit,

fretting over petty things, like
a sudden weather change,
Or no petrol in our bike....
Or anything we do not like.
But please I plead,
to you and myself, to look around,
There are graver issues abound!
We are sad we have a smaller home than another one,
but there are many who are displaced from their homes!
We are sad for a cricket match our opponent won,
But many are losing lives at the shot of a gun!
We curse Him, by whom this universe is created,
not knowing at many places lots of people are facing discrimination,
Human Rights are being violated,
we cry for being called an idiot but hundreds are treated in a manner causing them  humiliation.
We cry for little things,
get depressed when we face minute challenges,
but when that moment comes when your vision changes,
you'll fret a little less, pray for THEIR LIVES a little more!!!

                                                                                       prayed by Shahen Pardiwala.

This poem is dedicated to all those who sacrifice their lives in wars and to those who fight to bring about peace and stop wars. Do share this poem and pray for the safety of all those affected by war.

I Fear Rejection...

My music isn't for you,

Or for anybody else.

It is for my satisfaction, but like any other, I am afraid of rejection.

I took my music to a band,
hoping they would count me in,
they said I play it well but
I fail to create an atmosphere.
I walked back sorry for myself,
but dear,
How in Pete's name
should I create an atmosphere?

I went to a restaurant then,
where there are not only young but also old men,
I played my music for them,
But the manager told me ( in a polite way)
to get out!
I thought my music was a gem,
But for these people I was a fraud without doubt...

Or maybe ,
Just maybe,
I am somewhere lacking,
I am somewhere bad,
I need to realize the reason,
Why do these people go mad!

Crushed and crumbled I am,
but still some courage exists...
I go to various places and insist,
But nobody seems to accept my art,
And why should they?
I have enough faith in myself and my art,
I know I can do it well...
But somewhere in the corner of my heart,
Someone says I am lacking and rings a bell...

With no courage or faith I return home,
maybe I shouldn't play it here either,
coz I fear rejection, again.
I fear not being accepted, again,
I fear losing faith in my art, again...

Nevertheless, there is someone who has told me to play...
I bear a small smile,
but I am nervous (yes, I am!),
I clench my fist,
I look at my palm,
I look at my loved one
And three; two; one;

There I go...I play it one more time...
the fear still exists,
But I am stronger this time...
I play the last note...
I wait for a reaction...
There is no rejection...
I believe I don't lack an atmosphere,
I can't hear words from my dear,
Only claps...
And admiration in eyes...
the faith comes back,
courage comes back
And my confidence shoots up...
No, I am not accepted  yet by all,

But who cares???
All I care about is
those claps...
that admiration...
And my first little bit of celebration!!!

Fan For The First Time by Sonnal Pardiwala

Fan For The First Time book on Faisal Khan by Sonnal Pardiwala Cover Page

First of all...Congratulations on being the first recipient of the book "Fan for the first time!
Fan For the first time by sonnal pardiwala book on Faisal Khan
Fan For The First Time book on Faisal Khan by Sonnal Pardiwala

Me: How did you come to know about this book?

Sushma Rane: I came to know about this book from Faisal’s FaceBook and Google+ accounts. On 3rd January he stated in his post about Sonnal Pardiwala who wrote a book on him…Fan For The First Time...amazing name....Being Faisal’s fan , I keep track of his every account...this is how I came to know.

Me: You would be really glad to have made the decision, but what made you buy this seemingly expensive but exclusive book?

Sushma Rane: Obviously one and only reason for buying this book was Faisal Khan... Faisu, Sonnal’s little man...the book was on Faisu.....anything for him!

When I learnt that somebody has written a book on him…I was extremely happy....Faisal actually deserves this ...he is too good in whatever he does. He has immortalised the character of Maharana Pratap...so there was a thought of buying it somewhere in my mind.

Initially actually I was just thinking of buying it someday not immediately but in his next post on 8th January, he asked his fans, Did you read the book? and all answers were negative…even I answered not yet...quiet disappointing answer...also on Sonnal’s Twitter handle she mentioned that Faisal asked her, Who will read book on me?

I wanted to make him happy, I wanted him to know how much his fans love him then I made my mind to book the order immediately. And very next day I booked my copy of FFTFT. It is love for Faisu that made me buy this book exclusive book on exclusive sweet little kid.

I don't think it’s expensive. It worths the cost. Faisu deserves this.

Me: How long was the waiting period and what were the feelings? Curiosity, excitement, anxiety...please elaborate.

Sushma Rane: After booking for FFTFT, I was so excited can't express the feeling. I booked it on 9th Jan and then the waiting started...till 14th I just held myself...and then became anxious. O God how long I have to wait...? Very anxious...on 15th....I was going mad!

.

Me: What was your first reaction when you received the book?

Sushma Rane: I had given my office address. Security personnel called up to say my parcel has arrived, immediately understood it’s my FFTFT. I was actually speechless…I had no words...my heart beats increased...I could have got it by sending peon but ran myself to collect it. I held it in my hand and said yeah...I got it. Book on my Faisu! I was so happy that day…

Me: What was your reaction looking at the cover page?

Sushma Rane: Of courses all smiles on my face. Cover page is so positive.....the rising sun.....appropriate for Faisal’s book.....when I unwrapped the outer cover...it’s mine now…the book is mine. I'm bonded to Faisal by this book. Very very happy....excited. ..I was literally shaking out of excitement. Only Faisal’s true fan will understand my condition. Right Sonnal?

Me: Describe how you began reading the book...how the excitement of receiving it calmed down and you began enjoying the book...

Sushma Rane: When I opened the book, I just couldn't read anything......I was just turning the pages.... so excited....to look at those lovely pictures of Faisu in different moods...killing…all the pictures were. I was so excited couldn't read the book. I bunk my office next day, just to read the book. And I entered into a loveland...Omg....Sonnal just loved you...for such a beautiful writing...so passionately written. Then couldn't keep it down. Read it in just one go. But I am not yet calmed down....still feel the same excitement when I open it. Reading it again! I will enjoy it throughout my life time.

Me: Which part of the book did you enjoy the most? Quote one paragraph or scene you enjoyed the most and feel that has been immortalized as much as it has been immortalized in the serial.

Sushma Rane: I liked whole book. But the part I enjoyed the most is from chapter Leaf Shedding and Flowering Season of Love Land...when Ajabde goes to fetch Kunwar Pratap. The dialogues between them and the lovely pictures of Faisu! Oh God what expressions…page number 86, 87, 88.

The scene which is immortalised as in the serial is confession scene from the chapter Of Confusion and Confessions....the paragraph from “Phool woh nahi.......Hume aap ache lage he aaj se nahin kayin mahinose...
THE BEST SCENE...it touched my heart. I cried for Praja…Sonnal you have heightened these dialogues to a different level. What descriptions! Luv u for that! Luv Praja.
Many such paragraphs and lines I died for ...... “Dekhiye Hume log kehte hai ki hum shurveer he...humne bahut kirti arjit ki he...ghunghor puja me aapne swayam dekha tha sari rajkunwariaan lad rahi thi humse vivah karne ke liye par humne kisi ko aankh bhar nahin dekha kyunki hume aap achi lagti he Ajabde”....and then u said “Oh Ajabde why did your heart not melt at his tearing plea…?” I really died as you said.....

And the scene of training Phool. ................. Why are you aloof from me....and further I died.....

So many paragraphs, dialogues....u have decorated them with your words. Sonnal thank you. I feel proud to own this book.

Me: Which is your favourite chapter and why?

Sushma Rane: Actually I can't name one...whole book is my favourite. But if you insist....Of Confusion and Confessions is my favourite......its full of emotions....this chapter has the content for which each Praja fans waited so long ...the confession scene....page no 106...suna aapne rani ma.......he gives clue unknowingly to his Ranimaa that he is hooked...lovely ...then the Ghanghaur puja...how Ajab fulfils the custom....then Pratap’s tough skill on horse...Ajab watching it....then Phool’s training scene...confession scene and the great sacrifice of Praja for Matrubhumi....and hume nahi lagta ke phir kabhi hum .......apni...aatma kisi vyakti me itni spasht dekh payenge....true Kunwar Pratap…this chapter is a master piece. And the masterpiece chapter itself is a great experience.....what to say no words....

Me: How did you feel when the author herself acknowledged you on various social networking sites and also when Faisal Khan himself acknowledged you on Instagram and twitter and also thanked you?

Sushma Rane: Of course I was damn happy, when Sonnal acknowledged me on Twitter, Facebook and Insta. I am grateful to her for that. I was very happy that this girl put forth ....what all Faisu’s fan have in their heart...I'll always be grateful to Sonnal for writing such a lovely book on Faisal.

Faisal...

I died. He thanked me on all social sites...actually I should be thanking him for bringing such lovely moments, happiness in our life, he deserves all the love, honours, awards he's getting. When he acknowledged me I was thrilled...and so happy....everybody could see it on my face...thank u Faisal. Love you a lot.

Me: How does it feel to be the first recipient of a one of its kind book?

Sushma Rane: Actually I was shocked when I learnt, I was first recipient. Now I feel proud that I'm the first one to make Faisu happy (of course not as much Sonnal made him happy). At least to some extent! I feel great to be first recipient as Faisu is very special for me...so the book is very special.....and Sonnal, the writer is also very special for me...we are bonded through this book. So very very special feeling of being first recipient of book on Faisu!!!

Me: What would you like to say to the other countless fans of Faisal Khan with regards to this book?

Sushma Rane: Do read this book. It’s a treasure. If you are a real fan of Faisal Khan must read this book! You will get to meet your Faisal everyday...anytime you want...it’s very very special book for every fan of his. It will be a very precious belonging of yours, if you own it. I'm very happy to own it.
Spread the happiness be a part of the chain..Sonnal…Faisal..Sushma..Pallavi…
This is all about the love between Faisal and his fans...so I'll say buy the book!

…Thanks Sonnal for such a precious gift...

Thanks Faisal

Love you both.

Sush
